Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Uttar Pradesh Ecotourism Portal ("the Portal"), operated by the Forest Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the Portal.

Services Offered

The Portal is a single window for booking and payment across notified destinations of the State. Depending on the destination selected, it offers:

  • Entry tickets for zoos, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and tiger reserves;
  • Safari bookings, including vehicle-wise and person-wise safari where offered;
  • Accommodation at forest rest houses and eco-tourism huts;
  • Boating, trekking and other notified activities;
  • Events and exhibitions conducted by the Department;
  • Animal adoption and voluntary donations.

Not every service is available at every destination. Availability, timings, capacity and tariff are set by the destination authority and may be revised from time to time.

Eligibility & Account

  • You must provide accurate and complete information while registering or making a booking.
  • Bookings are confirmed against the mobile number you provide, and One Time Passwords (OTP) are sent to that number. Please ensure it is correct and reachable.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and OTPs. Do not share them with anyone.
  • The Portal reserves the right to suspend or cancel accounts and bookings found to be based on false information.

Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings are subject to availability, applicable booking rules and confirmation by the Portal.
  • Each destination may set its own advance booking window, same-day booking cut-off time and maximum tickets per booking. These are applied while you book.
  • Prices displayed are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise, and are subject to change without prior notice. A convenience or transaction fee may be levied in addition, and is shown before payment.
  • Payment must be completed in full at the time of booking through the approved payment gateway. The Portal does not store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials.
  • A booking is confirmed only after the payment gateway reports a successful transaction. A debit alone does not constitute a confirmed booking.
  • On successful payment a Booking Number is issued. It must be produced, in print or on your mobile, at the time of entry or check-in.
  • Concessional tickets — for children, senior citizens, differently abled persons, students, defence personnel and similar categories — are issued against the declaration made while booking, and valid proof must be produced at entry.
  • Child and infant tickets cannot be booked on their own. Every booking that includes a child or infant must also include at least one adult, who is responsible for them during the visit.

Visitor Details & Identity Proof

  • Where the destination requires it, visitor details and a valid photo identity document (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID) must be furnished at the time of booking.
  • The original of the identity document declared at booking must be carried and produced on demand at the destination.
  • Entry may be refused, without refund, if the visitor details or identity document produced do not match those recorded in the booking.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation is permitted online, subject to the policy approved for the destination and service concerned. The refund payable depends on that policy and on how early the cancellation is made, and is displayed to you before you confirm. Convenience and transaction fees are not refundable. Refunds are credited only to the original payment instrument.

The complete terms are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

Conduct During Visits

  • Visitors must comply at all times with the safety instructions and rules issued by forest range staff and boating, safari or trekking operators.
  • Feeding, disturbing, chasing or provoking wildlife is strictly prohibited.
  • Carrying liquor, narcotics, firearms, single-use plastic, pets, or any item prohibited at the destination is not permitted. Littering is an offence.
  • Photography and videography are permitted only to the extent allowed at the destination; commercial photography or filming requires separate written permission and payment of the prescribed charges.
  • Entry timings, routes and zones are decided by the destination authority. Visitors must remain within the permitted area and with the assigned guide or vehicle where applicable.
  • The Forest Department reserves the right to deny entry or cancel a booking without refund in case of violation of rules or misconduct.
  • Entry may be restricted, rescheduled or closed due to weather, wildlife movement, court or administrative orders, or safety concerns, at the discretion of the Forest Department.

Limitation of Liability

While reasonable care is taken to ensure the accuracy of information and safety of services offered through the Portal, the Forest Department shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from natural events, wildlife behaviour, third-party service providers, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Visits to forest areas carry inherent risk and are undertaken at the visitor's own responsibility.

The Portal may occasionally be unavailable on account of maintenance, connectivity or payment gateway downtime. The Department is not liable for any loss arising from such unavailability.

Use of Personal Data

Personal information collected while booking is used to issue and verify tickets, process payments and refunds, send booking communications, and meet statutory and security requirements. It is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy of this Portal.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of the use of this Portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Changes to These Terms

The Forest Department reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Portal after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
